Theresienstadt
Theresienstadt, the small fortress – during the Second World War it served as a labour or concentration camp for the Nazi extermination camps. It is located about 60 km north-west of Prague. You can have a guided visit inside the walls (recommended) or you can walk on your own and see the empty barracks. You can end the tour in the cinema to watch a film about the gripping history of the camp. The camp is well-preserved and absolutely worth a visit. The visit to Theresienstadt takes two hours. Please notice that there are a certain number of guides available at Theresienstadt and the idea is that visitors will be guided in the order of their arrival. The guides will not wait longer than 10 minutes for groups after the agreed time – if you arrive late, you can buy a brochure on Theresienstadt to guide you.
