Ethnic London - The Jewish Quarter
London is one of the most multicultural cities in the industrialized world; more than 300 different languages are spoken by more than 50 ethnic groups.
Many of these groups are concentrated in their own neighbourhoods and their presence is visible due to the selection of shops, restaurants and religious diversity.
On this tour you are given the opportunity to be acquainted with some of these local communities and get an insight in their religion and learn how they affect the city.
The Jewish quarter: Visit to the Jewish quarter with an English speaking guide. The walk will follow ”the trails” of the Jewish society in London’s East End.
There are a number of synagogues in the small alleys and narrow streets.
You should, however, bear in mind that large parts of this area were hit during the Blitz in the Second World War and therefore many of the old houses have been replaced by new.
The price is per group, guide included.
