National Institute for Nuclear Physics (LNF) in Frascati
The Institute is located in Frascati. The aim of the institute is to further coordinate and conduct scientific research in the fields of particle physics, astroparticle physics and nuclear astrophysics, a technology necessary to develop nuclear power activities.
The main characteristic of LNF consists in knowing how to build particle accelerators. The technical and scientific skills of the 120 employees working in the LNF Accelerator department are unique and rare in Europe. LNF works closely with the university and is involved in international projects.
The visit takes 2 hours and includes a short introduction of the experimental activity in LNF and an insight into current research.
Participants must bring a visitors’ names list and upon arrival you must sign an attendance list and the rules of behavior.
The visit is conducted in English.
