How does a nuclear power station work?
Temelin Nuclear Power Station is situated approx. 130 km south of Prague and generates electricity in two production units with pressurized- water reactors.
This will be explained in detail in the Information Centre, situated in the reconstructed Vysoky Hradek castle, close to the power station. All questions you might have about the Temelin Nuclear Power Station will be answered here.
The visit includes a lecture on nuclear power, 3D-projection, and an exhibition of power station models.
The visit takes about two hours, plus transport, which is about 2 ½ hours’ drive each way, 7 hours in total.
A bus is necessary for this visit.
Max. 60 people in a group and they must be at least 15 years of age.
Please note that no food is available at Temelin and we recommended that you bring a packed lunch.
The price includes a guide.
